Villanova looking at joining Big East in football
Villanova is considering joining the Big East in football. Obviously they are already part of the Big East in other sports. The Big East does need to expand, and this may be a better solution than raiding another conference. Thoughts... Here is the article. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?i...

Re: SCREWED BY THE BCS...
That's easy...Cal. They got screwed out of the Rose Bowl by a whiney Mack Brown from Texas..."please let my boys go to a BCS bowl. Just because we can't beat Oklahoma, don't punish my boys." No offense to any Burnt Orange Texas fans on here...but that chapped my hide.

Temple/Villanova...Little rivalry/Big Game
Temple vs Villanova may not have the cache of USC/Ucla, Texas/Oklahoma, Ohio St./Michigan, or any of the other big time, well known rivalries out there, but the game I watched today was a great game to watch. Yeah, it is FBS vs FCS, but I watched two teams battling to the wire, with a split crowd th...

Re: Lane Kiffen
Well, USC scores first against Hawaii and Kiffen goes for the 2 point conversion. What in the world for? I hope Hawaii comes back and beats USC. The Southern Cal media just loves Kiffen. They say on a regular basis that Kiffen has brought discipline and accountability back to the team, that he has ...

Re: WHICH GAMES HAVE YOU ATTENDED???
I haven't been to alot of games, but the ones I have, even the ones that seemed insignificant at the time, proved to be memorable. The 1st college game I attended was the 1980 I-AA National Championship game betwee Boise St. and E. Kentucky. It was called the Camelia Bowl and was played here in Sacr...

The Hokies play defense?
Cal win the PAC10 outright and play anybody in the Rose Bowl...but if it happened this year I would want Iowa. No, wait...Virginia Tech.

Re: YOU KNOW... THAT SURPRISE TEAM...
Teams that don't get alot of love in the main stream media, but are good respectable programs; Souther Miss: 16 straight winning seasons from 1994 on, 12 bowls during those seasons, 7 bowl victories out of 12, 3 C-USA championships, and 1 runner up. Upsets of LSU ('94), Georgia ('96), Pitt ('97 Libe...

Re: How The Season Plays Out (NO BIAS)...
I'll look at this from a conference standpoint. The Sun Belt, MAC, and C-USA are non-contenders, unless Houston finally pulls it all together and plays some defence and goes undefeated, and even then a long shot. The ACC just doesn't have a team that can put together an undefeated season. The Big Ea...

Re: BYU to go Independent?
http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5473151&campaign=rss&source=ESPNHeadlines Well at least one school has some balls. This should knock Boise State back into reality as they try to be something they are not. It is a really interesting story. BYU will play in the WAC for all other s...

Re: Fresno State & Nevada go to MWC
This may not be as easy as it looks. After Boise bolted for the MWC, the rest of the WAC signed a new agreement with a $5M buyout clause for any team that wanted to leave. Fresno and Nevada will both have a hard time coming up with this kinda money. It may still happen, but it is not a slam dunk.
