Woohoo! We're famous...or is that infamous? Well, they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. 8)

Re: What do you guys think about your team?

Cal goes the way Riley goes. If he pulls his head out and plays smart, Cal can have a good year. If not, it will be alot like last year. High hopes...little bowl.

Re: Top 25 poll voter sign up sheet

Well, I guess it's time to put up or shut up. I'm in. I'll either prove to myself I know what I'm talking about, or...I guess I'll just shut up. If knowing what we are talking about is a requirement....we are across the board in big trouble. :D What?! I thought everyone here was an e...

Re: Recruiting buffs...

It's funny, Phil Steele picked USC first in the PAC10, but I'm betting he wrote that before the fallout. Probably pulling his hair out right now. Since this is the second post today where I pull from "Phil", just know that I consider his mag the bible, and will quote gospel from ...

Re: new era for U of L?

I think that Strong will turn it around, but not that quickly. Phil Steele has the Cards picked for last in the Big East behind Syracuse. That doesn't mean that the Redbirds cant pull a suprise or two. E. Kent., Arkansas St., and Memphis should be wins with a slight nod to the Cards over Syr...

There are some great titles above. My feeble attempts...

"I'm not a Homer!: An Unbiased look at Notre Dame Football" by Lou Holtz.

"You are a Homer!: Why I Almost Strangled Lou Holtz" by Mark May

"Not so Fast my Friend: The Art of Picking Winners" by Lee Corso.

Re: The NBA Championship

Well, you see, when I was a little kid, the only teams that played regularly on tv were the Celtics, the Knicks, and the Lakers. John Havlicek was my hero, and then along came Bird, and Parrish, and Mchale, and the rest. Besides, I could never stand the Lakers, and the Kings were still in KC...So, B...

Re: The NBA Championship

Well, it's over...done. My beloved Celtics lost. But I will take the cosolation that most Notre Dame fans, or Dallas Cowboy fans carry with them and dip into the past.

The Celtics are still 10 and 3 vs the Lakers in the NBA finals. Take that Kobe. 8)

My petty moment is over.

Re: Utah to the Pac 10 A BCS bowl?

To be honest, the MWC should have moved sooner to add Boise, and perhaps two others, say, two years ago. Unless they can pull in two other decent programs, say Nevada and Tulsa or Houston, I dont see them getting BCS status with the loss of Utah. But, if the Big 12 folds like everyone thinks is goin...

Re: How Will Utah Do This Year?

Don't write off Air Force. That is a tough team to beat, and they are playing in Colorado Springs. Also, Wyoming has alot coming back. They wont be pushovers up in Casper. Other than that, yeah, Pitt, ND, TCU, and BYU is pretty much the schedule to beat.

Re: I Like It

Okay, I have been out of the loop for awhile, having just got back from vacation...that was not a vacation...story for another time. So, from what I have been hearing, this is what has actually happened. Nebraska has joined the Big 10. Colorado has joined the Pac 10. Boise St. has joined the MWC. Ev...
