Re: Things that are always true.
I agree. Almost all of it. The thing about the bowls, I feel, is this. There are kids (19-22 or so years old) that have been playing a game week in and week out. Then, in some cases, they are given 20 days, 30 days, almost 40 days with no game. Then, they are going to have the same gusto they had du...

Re: Mark Richt
Not trying to step on any toes, and you guys have been watching the sport way longer than me. I remember a few years back that Nebraska thought that Solich needed to go too. We saw how that turned out. I am not saying that Richt is the greatest coach ever or the worst coach ever. I would just hate f...

Re: Week 11: Thoughts, Ponderings, Balderdash.
Indiana has given a lot of teams fits at home this season. Now this weekend: Stanford loses, Baylor loses, LSU loses, Oklahoma State comes close to losing, key players have injuries, top teams give up tons of points, is anyone playing defense, how far will Michigan and UNC move up with other teams l...

Re: College Playoff Ranks
That is the whole thing about this deal. The stinks that it could possibly cause. I mean there is nothing concrete to go on. You have these teams that play home games, away games, low low FBS teams, low, low FCS teams, some play the lay up games at the late part of the season, while some play them e...

Re: College Playoff Ranks
Hey Spence, I agree with the Big 12 comment. Do you think the committee will see it that way? I mean if Oklahoma State goes undefeated or Oklahoma wins out, do you think the committee will give either team the nod for top 4? I mean that conference being shut out of the playoff two seasons in a row. ...

Re: Irrational thoughts on week Ten (10)
I am figuring Florida against Vandy. Gators at home. Gators maybe thought they could just throw their uniforms on the field, and that would do the job. Some way, somehow, some team or two, or three is going to get left out of the college football playoff picture. If, and these are big ifs: Clemson e...

COLLEGE FOOTBALL MYTHS...
What college football myths exist? Or if there is another word or phrase for it, call it what you like. Like, losing late hurts a team. Quite a few years ago, Oklahoma lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Champs game. The Sooners still went to National Championship game. Nebraska lost late to Colorado...

Re: College Playoff Ranks
I agree with so much of what was already said. Kind of a popularity contest. If Duke was the only undefeated team in the land, they would be lucky to crack the top four. A lot of these practices create interest, message board battles, etc. It is almost like, was it created this way on purpose? ACC, ...

Re: Virginia Tech
The thing that seems so apparent to me is that when the wheels come off, they really do come off. This is going back to the past a bit, but the Hokies have never won back to back bowl games until recently. Now, it seems like they are fighting to even make a bowl game. They have been tied for either ...

Re: Virginia Tech
I have been to many games there and pull for the Hokies 95% of the time. Not sure if it is Beamer, but I do agree about the lackluster recruiting. Is it a going through the motions type of thing? If so, that crap needs to stop with a fan base like VT possesses. I know there are different types of ba...

So, if TCU can beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Baylor, and still not make it? Not having the Big 12 in it again? Wow.

Re: RANDOM THOUGHTS PART 6...
One more thought. Florida State lost. One loss. Couldn't they win out and beat Clemson and Florida, and be right back in it? Either TCU or Baylor has to lose... late. Either LSU or Bama has to lose... late. Or am I way off here?

RANDOM THOUGHTS PART 6...
I barely even have the words. Georgia Tech was supposed to win the division. Half a season and two wins later, what does this team do? Goes out and beats the undefeated Noles on the last play of the game. I was barely getting the thought out my mouth to my wife about the possible showdown between un...
