Re: The Coaching Carousel
It's a couple days old, but North Texas fills their head coaching vacancy. http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2010/11/28/florida-assistant-dan-mccarney-accepts-north-texas-job/ That program is scraping the bottom of the barrel, but at least they want to improve. Or at least, they are making a very goo...

Re: Hawaii leaving WAC....joining MWC
TCU leaving the MWC for the Big East actually placates Hawaii to some degree. One beef Hawaii had with the WAC was them looking to add Texas State and UT-San Antonio. They weren't too wild about the extra potential travel expenses that far east in addition to already having to play road games at Lou...

Re: Brand Spankin' New Bowl Projections
I like the Arkansas vs Ohio State BCS matchup a lot.
Virginia Tech vs Connecticut is BCS box office poison. VT has righted the ship after a slow start, but the Big East has been lackluster the last couple of years to where they should no longer be an automatic qualifying conference.

Re: Top 10 vs Current Top 25 teams
Mississippi State is decent, not great and Arkansas faced Texas A&M before they got hot. Not that Arkansas' schedule isn't difficult but I don't know if "undervalued" is the word I would use to describe their ranking. It won't matter much anyway since they'll be in the BCS. On paper, ...

Re: New Member welcome thread
First off, please explain your position on SOS. 8) SOS aka "strength of schedule" certainly has to matter. As much as I think this year's TCU team is the best they've had in the last five years, good teams that challenge themselves are best prepared for future challenges. It certain...

Aloha in return!
About 90 miles away from Ann Arbor in Port Huron.
I visited New Braunfels TX once. I liked the park that has small river running through it and also ate German food there.

Re: It is Official: Ohio State vs. Boise State
To Nevada's credit, last night they turned a corner like Boise State did several years ago. If teams like Nevada and Boise can get stadium expansions to where seating capacity is in the neighborhood of 50,000, then the Gordon Gees of the world will have a lot less room to throw stones. In Boise, exp...

Re: New Member welcome thread
I just found out about this site. I definitely want "in" as far as submitting weekly polls in the 2011 season.
I definitely enjoy college football and that includes FBS and FCS. Looking forward to being an active participant on this site.
