Only to a certain degree. What happens is that every team's power rating is re-assessed based on a number of factors. After every team has a new power rating, then SOS is determined by averaging the power of each opponent. SOS is then a moving number throughout the season based on how everyone actua...

SOS is always determined by taking the average power rating of every school on a team's schedule. You can't reliably use records because a 5-6 FIU is going to be vastly different than a 5-6 Tennessee. What matters is who they played to get to 5-6.

Ahem! Excuse me, Colorado, but we don't pay to produce this site so that other people can get plugs. That's just not cool, man. You essentially just told our visitors to go somewhere else for a directly competitve feature  . I'm not so paranoid or concerned that I'm going to edit the message b...

I thought the commercials were much better than the last few years. My favorite was the Fed-Ex spot which ended with the caveman kicking the baby dinosaur and then getting squashed. All the Bud spots were good. Pepsi's spots sucked. They always do. As someone who runs an ad agency as their fulltime ...

2006 Schedules

If anyone is interested, we are in the process of adding 2006 schedules. Not every team has released theirs yet. The MAC is notoriously late for this. Additionally, some of the other smaller conferences have not finalized their league schedules. But many teams are done. I'm sure we can expect some l...

If I may add something here - we are not running a social issues board at all. We want people here from all races, creeds, etc. to feel they can come here and discuss college football without fear of feeling attacked. Unfortunately, social isues sometimes bleed into college football discussion quite...

If every pick was correct I wouldn't need to by the stock. I would just have to make a couple of well placed calls to Las Vegas.

You win. That would be a much better choice.

For the sake of saving people the trouble of trying to recompose previously-expressed thoughts, I brought this long chain over from the old message board. It was a GREAT discussion that deserves to be re-read and digested. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Bowl Predictions, Straight Up [2005]

BONUS was DJ Shockley's total yards for Georgia vs. West Virginia. TIEBREAKER was total points between Texas and USC. ERIC: 1. Southern Miss (I'll be pulling for my Indians, but seriously, do they even have a puncher's chance? They might, I think Southern Miss might be caught off guard a bit) 2. Nav...

Change is sometimes a necessary evil and we understand the natural resistance to change. I like simple, too. So, keep in mind that YOU CAN POST to the new board WITHOUT REGISTERING. This may make you more comfortable until you get more used to the setup. Sooner or later, we'll hope you register. The...
