Kansas St & Texas

Postby Cane from the Bend » Sat Sep 21, 2013 11:41 pm

K State just got a huge punt return to get within striking range (inside the 15), down by 10 with about a minute 30 left on the clock.

However, there were 3 obvious blocks in the back, and a hold with a hand full of jersey . . . no flags ??

Texas responds in a big way . . . Two sacks, and just recovered a fumble.

One knee and Texas wins.

I'm 0-3 in competitive games involving Texas. I can't read these guys

The Big 12 is so bad that a couple breaks here and there and Texas can compete for the conference championship. Granted Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Baylor are all better, but they can take care of the rest of the conference. Can Greg Robinson really work at defensive coordinator though? Trust me, I've lived through that nightmare.

The Big 12 went from being the deepest conference last year to rivaling the Big 10 in mediocrity. I think a lot of it stems from the QB play. Last year every team it seemed had a very good QB at the helm. Now the QBs are young and inexperienced and the defenses still stink. That sets up beautifully for Baylor and Oklahoma State, although I think the Blake Bell experiment at Oklahoma will work out. I like OU's defense so far. The Sooners would be my pick today to win the conference, but I don't have too much confidence in that.
