"Realignment"

Postby Derek » Sat Jul 26, 2014 12:20 pm

I don't know how much I agree with this. But found it interesting...

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

M not sure I agree either but the clusters look to me like the author did what he set out to do.

It was better when the WJS did not cover sports.

Two Ohio State professors come with their "vision"....unbiased?

LOL...we, ar Warchant have been having fun with this...

The way I read it, it was done based on school size, how much money they made and over all success. That would put Ohio State in the first cluster. Even if it is silly and not based in any doable reality.

I was honored to be allowed in the portals. Just a few more weeks...I think I am ready.

I just need to do it. Thinking about it, is not getting it done. The closer the season, the more I forget about the extraneous and get concentrating on just watching the games. Glad to hear you are taking a travel break. Your schedule has been mind boggling.

I think realignment (fantasy or otherwise) might be a dead issue for awhile. The ACC has settled any musical chairs there for at least the next 10 years with game rights going to the conference (even if a school leaves) for that period.

I've not paid attention and was wondering if any other conferences have done something similar?

In the West there is no settlement at all. Not sure there will be a rush to do something, but with the NCAA given super powers to five conferences..recruiting has just taken on an entirely different picture. Good or Bad,,,who knows? The MWC is certainly not stable. It may become so, but it is not there. The WAC is up in the air. Problem is, the Big Five is now where all the discussion will be. That is why many of us will drift away. There are always casualties.

I think that the five power conferences will expand to two 10 team divisions and swallow up most mid major teams.
