Well, Georgia RB Gurley suspended indefinitely for alleged NCAA violations. I guess the story is he accepted money for autographs. NCAA better not punish him for this after the way they treated Johnny football. We all knew Johhny football took money for autographs and they gave him a Heisman.
Actually, if he did this he should be punished. These guys know the rules, and Gurley will get his money soon in the NFL. Just makes you wonder how Johnny got away with it.

Man, that is a huge loss for Georgia. They need him if they want to compete for an SEC championship. Without him, I think they're just another team in the SEC East trying to squeak into the title game instead of a solid favorite.

Yeah, without Gurley, Georgia may only be a single digit lock against florida.

Arkansas plays Georgia next Saturday....after they beat Bama this Saturday (said while laughing).
Arkansas played Georgia a few years back when AJ Green was suspended for the very same issue...if I recall.

I actually had that game pegged for one of Arkansas' wins with Gurley, although I can't say I was too confident in that upset call. Without Gurley, the Hogs' odds increased quite a bit.

Yes, this was a blow. But I think the team pulled together today and played like they needed to.
I've never seen a defense play like they did today....EVER. Missouri turned the ball over today more times than they made it into Ga territory. The old saying is "lights out".
I realize that Mizzou is not a really strong team, but for the secondary to be on vacation most of this year, and to all of the sudden just show up like that is pretty impressive. I just didn't think they had it in them.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

You're ecstatic...go ahead, let it all out. What a game for you.

I retract this comment.
Georgia pulled together as an entire team yesterday ... florida was able to muster up an offense against a LSU team that has lost faith in themselves [and still lost @ home].
If Georgia can play half as complete as they did against Missouri, they should bulldoze the reptiles.
It is of course a rivalry game, so you can never really count out that factor ... however, the gators have Muschamp; and I do not believe he knows how to motivate his team for a rivalry's sake.

I think your right. I've talked to other Florida fans who feel that he is not a CEO type coach. He did great at Texas, but he was not the head honcho.

Re: Gurley suspended indefinitely
Derek, Any word on if Gurley will play in the Georgia vs Arkansas game Sat? Looks like Ark will be minus their starting middle linebacker (Brooks Ellis)....and stud DL Darius Philon had to leave the Bama game early as well. Looks like Philon will play but will not be 100%. Ark's starting unit is solid but they lack depth at several positions. Looking forward to this matchup.

Nope. He's out.
