Hold on there Billybud ... because as it turns out:

The Flipping of four-star defensive tackle commit Shavar Manuel from the gators, but it turns out FSU may have known about that weeks ahead of time.

During Jimbo Fisher’s National Signing Day Party Wednesday night, defensive ends coach Brad Lawing made some interesting comments during the portion of the event in which each coach takes the stage to talk about the newest Seminoles. When talking about Manuel, Lawing suggested that he knew the Florida commit was going to flip to FSU for two weeks, but told him to “just play the game” and to “tell them darn Gators what they want to hear” before flipping, according to the Palm Beach Post’s Tom D’Angelo.

Just shows the depth of heated rivalries in college football. The irony is: Lawing came to Florida State after coaching the previous two seasons at Florida.

They do say, the smaller the mind, the easier it is to brainwash ... he was coaching @ florida after all.

Goes back to Dante Fowler..a rive star FSU commit who assured Jimbo he was solid two days before he switched on NSD....to the Gators. And word went out that he had been so instructed. He went out of his way to make offensive tweets...the coaches and fans have not forgotten

As far as Manuel is concerned...he was getting heavy pressure from Florida...with the kid getting squeezed, the FSU recruiter said to just tell them what they wanted to hear then.

"“Shavar had told me the night before, ‘I’m a Seminole’ and then he committed to Florida,” Lawing said during FSU’s annual signing day party. “I called him up, asked what’s going on and he said ‘I’m just getting some pressure from people.’

Lawing, who coached at Florida in 2013 and ‘14, told Manuel to “play the game” and to “tell the darn Gators anything they want to hear.”

Yep...it's always been a war between the gators and the Noles.
“If short hair and good manners won football games, Army and Navy would play for the national championship every year.”
