I am a child of the 60's...graduated from HS the year the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan, yearned for my home girl far away while listening to the Righteous Brothers wailing Unchained Melody. Janice, Jimmy, Joan Jett, Procul Harem, Motown...loved the music...the music that died in the 90's. Killed by that @#$% west coast grunge put out by Nirvana.

Now...I am a roots guy..listening to live covers of Americana...such as Dylan, John Prine, Guy Clark, Texas Tornadoes, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, The Steel Driversand on...we listen three nights a week to local musicians and I have been working up to jam with some of them by summer.

I am the Oregon purist. My mission is to rid the Great Northwest from the vermin, as much as if pains me to agree with Mr. Billybud, the likes of the Nirvanaesque influence that has become a canker on the lips of beauty. If I can't stop it now, the next thing we will see is porch sitting, sweet tea (is that one word or two?), fireflies, friendly people, big hair, humidity, and of course, waffle houses.

The 2018 rankings are already out and the big question is Why?

I've not heard back from him. He sent me the database file that was a full export of everything, and I imported it into my hosting service. I was not sure what to do after that.
