O'yeah ....
I used to Sudoku.
Then about 15 years ago, I put it down and quit, once I realized I wasn't getting anything else done,![]()
Free Cell used to torture me.
There are said to be a million different puzzles [or one just shy of], and as they put it; Are all "Thought" to be solvable.
Thought to be Solvable sounds like a challenge to me. So I set out to prove it.
Played it so much, I started seeing the setup whenever I closed my eyes to sleep.![]()
Had to start taking breaks from it.
Did the math, and came to the conclusion, that there is no way I could possibly play all 999,999 lineups. The time to available hours in a day. I'd have no time to do anything else, and still it would take a few decades.
But it doesn't prevent me from knocking around 15 out, here and there.![]()
According to these guys:

My sister, PhD in mathematics, says that’s a lot..
Suddenly the number of Free Cell lineups feels more achievable.
