US Navy destroys Pirates off Carolina coast

Postby Grayghost » Sat Nov 06, 2010 7:25 pm

Dateline North Carolina...

Today, forces of the United States Navy engaged Pirates of the North Carolina coast. After putting up a spirited fight in the beginning, Navy professionalism comes through. The Navy reports that no Pirates survived the engagement.

That is how it should read after Navy dropped 76 points on E. Carolina.
I dont care who wins as long as Notre Dame loses!

You follow the Fresno St - La. Tech slugfest?

EDIT: Holy crap. Navy 521 yards rushing?!!!

Yeah, I'm following the Fresno/La Tech game.

In other news...

California bear barely survives attack by starved, disease ridden, pathetic excuse for a cougar from Washington.

I swear if Cal would have lost this game I woulda...I woulda...well, I don't know what I would have done...but I would have done something...dammit!

Washington State has been steadily getting better on offense at least. Marquess Wilson and Tuel have played decently even when they have been getting blown out. But yeah, I was shocked to see ECU give up that many points. They were only down 28-21 entering the 2nd half, but they kept fumbling I think which allowed Navy to score 21 unanswered and really run away with it.

Some teams just aren't prepared to play the option and it's apparent ECU was one of them.

The Pirates should be "walking the plank" (running laps) all week for giving up 76!

The crazy thing about it, is I checked the box score to see if that 521 yards translated to somebody having a 250 yd. day rushing... not the case. It's all pretty balanced. About 6 guys had TDs...

But the ECU Quarterback had some 400 yds and 5 TDs.

Grayghost... 6-6 is at least a reasonable likelihood for Cal this year... but I'd consider it a season well done if you can just win one of your next two games. (The next one especially, help Boise or TCU get to the National Championship game  )
