Now This Is Something We Can All Appreciate

Postby Cane from the Bend » Tue Nov 09, 2010 2:41 am

I don't know if any of you have seen this yet; or if it has already been posted ... though, this is hilarious, but you could only pull it off once, ever ... actually, now that has been done, I don't think it could happen anywhere else:

I have seen a similar college play where the QB calmly starts walking towards the sideline with the ball as if a timeout has been called while the team stands and lounges...and then pulls up and thows it to a wide open streaking WR.

Yea, I have seen a fake punt, similar to what you described; where the punter looks to the sideline, as if the coach is trying to change something in the play call, then a quick pass to a wide open receiver who nonchalantly strolls up the sideline, then takes off running with the ball.

.

I just thought it was funny how the kid in this video, walks leisurely through the middle of the defensive line, taking a few more steps, then burns the D secondary ... now, that is a trick play.

Awesome!! 8)

The comments are pretty funny too...there is a Youtube vid-ya on that too.

"Hide your kids, hide your wife!"
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
