I did not realize how much Nike was involved with the Ducks....

I think it is deeper than the article even states. Deep entrenchment. As stated, just not money thrown at the program but big bucks and control on how it is spent...and...football is just one recipient. This is why most Oregon State fans rooted for Auburn. Or as the Oregonian headline Aw Burned.

Speaking of Oregon, I get to spend my July 4th traveling there for two weeks.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

The ducks, like the proverbial goose, are cooked.

"Will Lyles, a street agent, has opened up to Yahoo! Sports about his ongoing relationship with Chip Kelly and the University of Oregon. Apparently Lyles was receiving money for what he looks back and calls a mistake.

"I look back at it now and they paid for what they saw as my access and influence with recruits," Lyles said. "The service I provided went beyond what a scouting service should … I made a mistake and I’m big enough of a man to admit I was wrong."

The university still holds the stance that there was no wrong doing but evidence is mounting against them. LaMichael James, a Ducks star, is also tied into the scandal and the end result could see a forfeited 2010 season. It is highly likely that records will show that no one played for the National Title this past January."

Buying street agents to "deliver" kids...they can't get away with it. I don't think.
