"NBA" - Need Better Agreements

From what I can gather (been thinking of this for weeks) there seems to be nothing that would prevent players from starting their own league. Venues were one thought, well the only I could think of with any merit, and there are many places to play that have not served as NBA arenas. If there was something in their contracts...well, perhaps that could void their current contract. I couldn't imagine ever signing some different long standing agreement that forbids it.

In an interim period they could contract to various businesses (like music industry people) who could handle getting the venues scheduled and contracted. Then you are down to a coach or 2 a few trainers and a physician...and some refs, I think you could find some of those. (Ugggh...need insurance.) Have the current players sign-on, have a draft, train a week or 2 and get started.

You'd have some bumps but I bet they could have teams on the floor in 8 weeks. Get 1 to 3 big money partners, Donald Trump, Larry Ellison, etc. with the players buying in the major percentage (like a mutual or LLC).

I'd love to see them stick it to the owners!!!
