WVU looked good in this game yet were abused by seven loss Syracuse (23-49), by LSU of course, also lost to six loss Louisville and barely slid by six loss PItt by one point.

World beaters last night in their Dr. Jeckyl guise...but I haven't forgotten Mr. Hyde.

On point as usual my friend, the Eers had way too much Jeckyl and Hyde this year! But I think DH is a J&H fixer. Eers have had it in times past and it was mental and emotional...this year I can directly point to scheme and tactics. I truly think the problem was a passive D, thus making the 3-3-5 a constant prevent defense. And then special teams, which DH addressed and put much more emphasis and practice time on it.

ANd Clemson had the J&H as well...if the coach is always riding the exuberant card 100%, especially in that player's coach mode...then he is not an anchor but a multiplier! Things roll well and it is great, things roll the other way and you have calamity, chaos, and a mighty fall! For this game to go the way it did, you have to have 2 trains traveling the opposite direction!

But let's not miss what is important here...I loved it, loved it, loved it! Only disappointed a bit by letting off of the throttle early...I would have really liked the BCS Bowl scoring record to have been put out of reach and for some of those records that were ties to have been 100% Mountaineer owned! 84 or 91 to 20 would have been really sweet!!! :D

Too bad that we might not be discussing the FSU-WVU match up scheduled for Sept. 8,,,WVU has notified FSU that it wants out...FSU has said that the out in the contract is $500,000...but...there is a liquidated damages clause. And FSU estimates that, on 8 months notice, that it might take a a million to find a FBS home opponent.

WTH? I hope that doesn't happen. I wonder if it has something to do with the Conference change? (Yeah, that is trash notice...should be expensive.)

OK...they are siting an additional conference game by going to the Big-12. But it would seem to me they would drop James Madison, cheaper and not a significant opponent. At this point I am hoping, with their being inroads between the 2 programs, that this is a "musket fire over the bridge" ( "war drum" if you will) to the Big East leadership (for lack of a better word)! *Hey "Big" LEast...we are out, see how serious we are!" And...we are getting some extra advertisement to boot!

Believe it or not...the JMU buyout is one million....I could not believe it but JMU got it in the contract.

   How in the world? How? Still, that is who I'd drop. But I would appeal to the NCAA for an exemption due to schedule difficulties. One time, nothing compared to the Hawaii exemption. And if I had to, I 'd schedule Hawaii as part as of one of my future 12 game schedules.

And WVU should have jacked up Clemson to the Hilt, 94-20! On the "Experts" several guys had Clemson in their Way Too Early Pre-Season Poll. Not to mention only climbing to 18 in the polls.
