WVU looked good in this game yet were abused by seven loss Syracuse (23-49), by LSU of course, also lost to six loss Louisville and barely slid by six loss PItt by one point.
World beaters last night in their Dr. Jeckyl guise...but I haven't forgotten Mr. Hyde.
On point as usual my friend, the Eers had way too much Jeckyl and Hyde this year! But I think DH is a J&H fixer. Eers have had it in times past and it was mental and emotional...this year I can directly point to scheme and tactics. I truly think the problem was a passive D, thus making the 3-3-5 a constant prevent defense. And then special teams, which DH addressed and put much more emphasis and practice time on it.
ANd Clemson had the J&H as well...if the coach is always riding the exuberant card 100%, especially in that player's coach mode...then he is not an anchor but a multiplier! Things roll well and it is great, things roll the other way and you have calamity, chaos, and a mighty fall! For this game to go the way it did, you have to have 2 trains traveling the opposite direction!
But let's not miss what is important here...I loved it, loved it, loved it! Only disappointed a bit by letting off of the throttle early...I would have really liked the BCS Bowl scoring record to have been put out of reach and for some of those records that were ties to have been 100% Mountaineer owned! 84 or 91 to 20 would have been really sweet!!!
