So, I'm still trying to figure out how Mountain-man knew I was looking for a job.
Long John Silver's is going to open up a store here, in the not-too-distant future.
I'm beginning to think he's clairvoyant.

Either that or he simply thinks I'm mad (and happy). Which of course I am NOT!!!!!!!! some of the time.

So, I"m still trying to figure out how Mountainman knew I was unemployed and looking for a job, assuming that's what he meant by the 'Robert Louis Stevenson' comment.

Yes, they are opening a Long John Silver's here.

I'll be happy (or sad) to serve you, and you better like what I prepare or else I might have to concoct a devious 'potion' which I will likely dispense together with your crab legs.

But if he's implying I have a 'split' personality, he's dead wrong, I'm a happy guy, most of the time.

They keep it cold so the fish doesn't spoil during the extended periods after they cook it and the time they sell it.

I love LJS. :)

The local waffle house is always freezing...a friend's son who worked there in college told me that keeping it cold discourages lingering over coffeee reading the paper, etc...they depend on volume and fast turnover in a small footprint store.

It's usually due to bad design and engineering .... the guys in the kitchen keep the thermostat low. Who said the customers come first?
