I agree ... I was looking real hard at Wisconsin myself. Had they still been there, they would have been one of my next two picks.

With Spence's choice of Kansas State, he now has two teams from the Big XII, and so may take only one more from the conference.

Tough decision, but I think I'll go with LSU

*sigh*

Well, there goes my next pick ...

.

Donovan you're on the clock; Eric's Round 5 Selection was posted @ 11:45 pm, starting your period coming up at 12 midnight (or 9 pm on your side of the map), giving you until 1 pm eastern (or 10:oo am wacky coast time) to conclude your next option.

Note:

With Eric's picks of LSU & Alabama, he has taken two teams from the SEC West.
He may select a maximum of 1 more team from the SEC, and only from the East division.

.

Also Note:

notre dame is presently doing an internal investigation for academic cheating.
Of the several student being investigated, 4 of them are unnamed football players.
The last time nd suspended a player for cheating, it was Everett Golson, starting qb.

He was initially suspended indefinitely. Missed all of last year, looking to start back this season.

I thought about taking them today before I went with K State, because of their schedule, but this made me stay away from them. I didn't want to pick them so it is just as well.

Notre Dame's schedule is pretty daunting, but I think they should be better than last year as long as this doesn't serve as a distraction. I can't say I'm very surprised, but I assume this kind of thing is rampant across big-time college football.

Usually, notre dame has very good academic athletes.

But somethings up.

This is five in 3 years, which is otherwise unheard of at that university.

.

Names were released (I don't think they were supposed to be).
The official word, is it's an investigation.

(yes, starters have been implicated)

They wouldn't give names earlier, because nothing had been concluded (officially), and didn't want to lead the people's view of the players in question, should nothing be found.

Brian Kelly was only told about the investigation yesterday.
The investigation started back in spring.

So, something about this says the school is attempting to prevent Kelly from protecting these guys.
