Didn't get to see the game....but watched the recap.

There is NO WAY Ga can continue to win with this many injury's. NO WAY.

They have 2 more losses coming this year....probably Florida AND Auburn.

What a great game for entertainment purposes (not if you were a fan of either school...type of game that causes heart issues).

I agree Derek, Georgia at one point of game was down 7 starters I believe. That is 1/3 of the team starters.

I don't want to take this away from Georgia because it was a gut-check kind of win. But Tennessee is not very good; they almost lost at home to South Alabama last week and it took a stop with goal to go in order for them to finally put them away.

This just plays into my little theory that I have. Part of the SEC mystique definitely has to do with the atmosphere of the games. Being on national television. With the history. And with the game being close and fans going crazy. It kind of gives the illusion of it being a super high-quality game while Tennessee, who should end the year with a losing record, must be in a completely different league than a team like Indiana from the B1G or Iowa State from the Big 12 or something along those lines. These middle of the road SEC teams (like Kentucky when they surprisingly compete with South Carolina) always get the benefit of the doubt. It's not that the favored SEC team played down to their level because, heaven forbid, that would violate the perception that they're so darn good that they couldn't get tested by average teams on the road.

I'm not saying Georgia was somehow "exposed" by this game since their resume speaks for itself (a "quality" loss at Clemson and wins over LSU and South Carolina), but at the same time, teams that aren't that good can occasionally play a better team tough if they catch them on the right day. My point is just that people will now think of Tennessee as being better than they actually are because they hung tight with a good team while forgetting the skating by South Alabama and getting demolished by Oregon in a similar fashion as Virginia and Colorado.

You might be onto something concerning the perception of the middle of the road SEC teams. The large crowds, and intense interest probably does factor into the equation.
