http://college-football.si.com/2013/10/14/mac-announces-bahamas-bowl/This is a couple days old, but the MAC, AAC, Sun Belt, and Mountain West plan on rotating bids for the Bahamas Bowl. I think the MAC will be one of the participants for at least the first two seasons.
I personally love the idea of international bowl games. I liked the idea of the International Bowl and Hawaii, while obviously part of the US, is a vacation spot. Only problem is that the attendance might be one of the lowest in bowl history since I think you need a passport to get from the U.S. to Nassau. I'm interested to see how it works out.

Let me understand this correctly. It takes a passport to leave the United States but you can enter by just showing up. Got it.

I'm not a fan of internationalizing anything sports related, outside of the Olympics & associated athletic competitions (track - gymnastics - skiing - skating - Volleyball - ect ...), and Soccer.
This is too deliberate --- if they wanted a Caribbean locale; the U.S. has ground in the Virgin Islands.
Start with the sports franchises to get the people use to & comfortable with the idea, then the next step in government.
I will tune this game out.

I think the Flavian Amphitheatre in Rome (Coliseum) should be completely restored and that the national championship should be played there, although I am not certain that the arena is large enough to contain an American football field.

Just to clarify, the losing team doesn't get fed to the lions, right?

Yeah, they probably shouldn't be condemned to Detroit.

Turn the Lions lose before the game and let them eat some players and play eight man football...

Or maybe just turn them lose on the officiating crew.
Can we chain one inside the replay booth?
