"Volcano Threatens Penn State / UCF Opener in Ireland" might go down in my Things I Never Expected to Ever Come Up Hall of Fame 
Apparently there is a volcano in Iceland that, if it erupts, will seriously impact the travel flight of both Penn State and UCF as they travel to Dublin. I can't exactly tell you why they are playing this game in Ireland, as at least with Notre Dame it kind of made sense. The idea behind the series was to encourage tourism of people of Irish heritage to Ireland, so I have no idea how many Irish descendants or Catholics comprise the Penn State fan base.
