Both teams have great helmets. Hedrick looks much better, but Colorado State is not going to roll over.

Boise State is a Mountain West Conference team. No shame in that....just accept it and get rid of the illusions of grandeur. Your tried....great ride, now just live with who you are. We all will be happier.

This Ajayi for Boise State is a real fire plug.....he is going to be tired

Boise State would be really, really, really good if they had better QB play, though. If Kellen Moore was still suiting up for the Broncos, they would have beaten Ole Miss. I'm surprised they don't have anybody waiting in the wings that is a better passer than Hedrick.

It appears to me that Hedrick does not have the field savvy others have possessed. He is an average thrower and a reasonable runner. In order to be good at doing both, you have to be able to assess quickly the field and almost react, not think about it. Doesn't seem to me he has that. Last night that appeared to be the weakest area, though the score would not see it that way. Their strength last night was their speed...or Colorado State was slow...but CSU could not keep up with them on the line or secondary. The MWC is wide open.

Quarterback talent lacking at Boise State. They passed on the Arizona State quarterback to get Hedrick. They passed on the Colorado State quarterback too.

The fact they had the option to pass is a credit to the school.

Then who gets the credit for Brad Kaaya passing on Boise State to go to Miami, instead?

Miami.....That is the city of Miami, where glitz and glamour prevail, Where TV shows feature Miami is scantly clad women, fast cars, great sunshine and succulent cuisine. Ever been to Boise? I am sure Boise Vice was rejected summarily. Cow dung, sugar beets and scantly clad women meaning they are too big for the size clothes they are wearing, has a limited appeal.

I think Taylor Kelly was being recruited by Boise, but chose Arizona State over Boise. I recall him saying that a chance to play in the Pac-12 was too good to pass up.

According to Brad Kaaya, Miami was the first program to show any interest in him.

When his name started getting national recognition, he got serious offers from other schools; his other top two were Boise State & USC.

My guess USC because it was closer to home (he is a California boy), and it's hard not to take seriously that offer ... especially when you grow up near it.

But, from the accounts I hear, Kaaya would have chose Boise St over USC ... so they left some sort of positive impression on him.

Taylor Kelly said in an interview that he wanted to go to Boise State but Boise State chose Grant Hedrick instead. He said Arizona State then asked him after that. He grew up watching Boise State because he is from Eagle ID.

hmm ... often the boat is missed, when a kid chooses another program ... in this case, Taylor Kelly maybe the boat, with Boise St is standing on the dock, hopelessly waving their ticket in their hand.
