For Five Bucks you can go to a Buckeye Spring Game. 99,391 did. (You would think they could have found another 609 people!)
So I thought I would check this out and came across the Spring Game Website.
Check out the rules for attending the game....They even give you permission to ask for a drink of water...isn't that nice. They tell you when you can stand up and sit down, no kazoo's and no nasal tobacco...they use snuff in Ohio? If you want to have a seat with a back, you need a Dr's note. AND asking for an autograph is a Crime......hmmm..... A lot of rules for only a fin.

That is actually the game day rules in general, not just for the spring with just a few exceptions. The $5 goes to charity. If you don't have access to tickets directly and have to get them on the secondary market it is hard for lots of people to go to a game. It could cost $1000 to take a family of 4 to the game. This is a way a family can go for $20. It isn't a game, but it is a way for fans to get to go inside the "shoe" and experience a game day atmosphere including the band. The rules are written more ridgidly than they are inforced. There we 79,000 spectators who paid to get in and 20,000+ students - who get in free.
It was a nice day here yesterday so it isn't surprising they drew close to 100k. Big ten stadiums hold a lot of people so they are gong to get lots of people into the spring games. Let penn State win a championship and they could draw 110,000 the following spring because of the time they have been down.

100K. That's a lot of folks. They don't usually have that many in the South for Spring games at just about any school. Though they do broadcast them on the radio for the Dawgs.

I was in Atlanta this weekend and saw Meyer pick up the McArthur Bowl trophy at the CFB Hall of Fame. The place has lots of potential. They don't quite have it ready though.

We went to a Max Lager's Wood-Fired Grill & Brewery for bar food one night, Pan American Bistro (across from Morton's), and Ruth's Chris over by the Hall of Fame and CNN.
I wasn't in Atlanta to see Meyer pick up the trophy. My daughter was in the quiz bowl national championships at the Hilton downtown and we were their for it. We didn't no Meyer was down there or that they were featuring Ohio State the day we went in. It was just a coincidence. I wouldn't have went all the way to Atlanta to see Meyer receive a trophy. I'm a pretty big Ohio State fan, but not that big. It was cool to see all the people walking around Centennial park with Buckeye beads on. I didn't put it together until we were at the Hall. I thought Ohio State was probably playing Georgia Tech in Lacrosse or something.
The hall was cool, but they don't have enough artifacts yet. Hopefully they can get the artifacts from the old hall and get some schools to hand over some of their stuff for it. The interactive part was cool. They mini combine for the kids was cool too.

Very cool!
And I wouldn't go see Meyer at my next door neighbor's house.

But that's going back to Florida, nothing to do with OSU.
I love Ruth's Chris too, their Filet Mignon is awesome. I love the way the plate sizzles.

Spence, I want to know if you knew any of the answers to the questions.

More than I would like to admit. But I'm not sure how well I would have done. The History questions get easier every year because they now ask about things that I have lived. They didn't do that when I was in high school.

My wife, though, is the one that would get shhd if they would have paid attention. She knew lots more than I did. She was in Med school when we started our family and she dropped out and became a nurse instead because of the time involved. She holds the record at her school for the highest ACT in school history. She has held it for 22 years so what I am saying is that I married up. She, while very bright, has terrible taste in men.

Derek, I wouldn't have come to Atlanta even to see Woody Hayes, he just happened to be there when we went in. I actually didn't go into the room wear they were presenting the trophy. It was cool to be there with a bunch of Buckeye fans though. I usually get an (O-H) most place I go, but I never know if they people are really Buckeyes. These guys had the gear.

Arkansas had around 50,000 at their spring game. They are going to be very good this year....like contend for the SEC West good this year. Can't wait for the season to get started.
Derek I have watched the Georgia spring game (maybe more than once). SEC network keeps replaying all of the spring games. I have seen most...have not watched Vanderbilt or Kentucky (and more than likely will not).
