All right, Warriors Fan...in absentia, welcome to Boise..
Boise State has won 15-consecutive conference openers since a loss in 1999, when the Broncos fell 17-10 to North Texas (Oct. 16). The Broncos are 32-13 all-time in conference openers.
For the third-straight season, Boise State will open its conference slate at home, and the Broncos are 16-3 all-time in such games, with the last loss coming in 1998 to North Texas (Oct. 10; 21-13) – a streak of eight-straight such wins.
Boise State is a national-best 106-10 in conference games since the start of the 2000 season. Okay, it's not the Power 5. How arrogant can that appellation be?
Boise State leads the all-time series with Hawai’i, 10-3. The Broncos lost the first two meetings with the Warriors in 1996 and 1999 (both nonconference games), but since joining the Western Athletic Conference in 2001 the Broncos have won 10 of the 11 games played between the schools. The Broncos and Warriors have faced just once as members of the Mountain West, a 49-14 Boise State victory in Honolulu, Nov. 10, 2012. The Broncos have won four-straight, with the last loss coming on the road, Nov. 23, 2007 (39-27). Boise State is a perfect 5-0 against the Warriors in home games.
