All right, Warriors Fan...in absentia, welcome to Boise..
Boise State has won 15-consecutive conference openers since a loss in 1999, when the Broncos fell 17-10 to North Texas (Oct. 16). The Broncos are 32-13 all-time in conference openers.

For the third-straight season, Boise State will open its conference slate at home, and the Broncos are 16-3 all-time in such games, with the last loss coming in 1998 to North Texas (Oct. 10; 21-13) – a streak of eight-straight such wins.

Boise State is a national-best 106-10 in conference games since the start of the 2000 season. Okay, it's not the Power 5. How arrogant can that appellation be?

Boise State leads the all-time series with Hawai’i, 10-3. The Broncos lost the first two meetings with the Warriors in 1996 and 1999 (both nonconference games), but since joining the Western Athletic Conference in 2001 the Broncos have won 10 of the 11 games played between the schools. The Broncos and Warriors have faced just once as members of the Mountain West, a 49-14 Boise State victory in Honolulu, Nov. 10, 2012. The Broncos have won four-straight, with the last loss coming on the road, Nov. 23, 2007 (39-27). Boise State is a perfect 5-0 against the Warriors in home games.

You can ink in another Win for Boise. Hawaii will not be able to stop Boise's potent offense...especially the passing game. Vegas has the Broncos by 24 1/2....It looks like folks know how this one will turn out.

I was very impressed with the Boise State quarterback-receiver set last week. The back shoulder throws, the receivers finding the ball while tightly covered, all made a passing game that is tough to defend.

Hawaii has a pretty good defense. It if their offense that has problems

This is pretty funny considering this is Hawaii we're talking about here

I think once they play some of the weaker MWC defenses, they'll be okay. Wittek at QB with Pedroza and Kemp at WR is a pretty good combo. Hawaii just continues to be a terrible road team. I remember on a Friday night roughly 10 years ago, I was excited for a Hawaii/Boise game, but Hawaii was going on the road. Boise just throttled them by about 60

Speaking of Hawaii, I just want them to hire June Jones again. Hawaii football was literally one of my most favorite things about college football. Exciting football being played at 2 AM? Sign me up.

The best part of a Hawaii game was the pre-game Haka....

The man in black, the Haka, the fans in Hawaiian shirts, the name Rainbow Warriors...the long TV shots of the Manoa Valley....all are remembered, but the football wasn't that memorable to me.

Well tonight Boise State uniforms look like something out of Mademoiselle magazine. The Warriors are some of the coolest I have seen.

Boise defense and QB Rypin looked good. Hawii just struggled. Anyway, the Warrior had better looking uniforms.

I see Hawaii's uniforms and a Skittles commercial comes to mind.

What, No takers on tonight's game ..?

Congrove has Miami losing to Cincy; then again, Congrove's preseason prediction had the `Canes losing 9 games.

Ought be a fun view -- the game will be @ Cincinnati, kickoff time in about 20 minutes.

It was a fun game to watch. I know it did not end how you wanted. I didn't get the coaching part of Miami

I don't get it either.

The run up the middle was not there at all throughout the game. But the sweep and perimeter rushing was something the Bearcats were having trouble defending. So why abandon the productive outside running for straight at the defense, when you are down by 11 points with under 5 minutes to play.

Cincinnati's secondary was having trouble covering the deep passes. But, Cincy was playing very well against the short & intermediary pass. So why pass the ball for 5 or 6 yards a play all the way down the field, when you are down by 11 points, with less than 6 minutes left in the game --- Why not pass long, and make them prove they can stop you? Why not pass long, and force them to cover deep before going with mid range passing routes? (which would have forced Cincinnati to leave holes somewhere)

Time mismanagement was huge. Calling two timeouts within 3 plays, inside the 20, and having to settle for a field goal. Another play earlier being called in so late, that when Kaaya audibled, the play clock ran down to 2 seconds forcing them to snap the ball before the O-Line was ready, and instead of getting a first down, losing 5 yards on a run --- Which set up a missed field goal.

Not going for it on 4th & inches when you have the momentum, and just took the lead.

I like Golden. I believe him to be a decent man. However, as a head coach, he maybe over his head in the ACC. Rather than taking advantage of the aspects of the game that have opened up, he tries too hard to force the mechanics that aren't working.

The same thing happened in the last game against Nebraska, and it almost cost us. Thursday Night at Cincinnati it produced a gigantic L which could easily have been a win had the play calling been (a.) correct for the circumstance & (b.) on time.

Anything like this in conference play, and maybe Congrove is not far off predicting 9 losses.

Hawaii could do a lot better with that color scheme. I realize those are either throwbacks or "fauxbacks", but they look kinda lame in my opinion. A modern design with rainbow colors could look cool, although I love the look they used in the mid-2000's the most.

They played well in them. Maybe you could loan them out to Ohio State.
