The QB Free Agent Market

Well, I was kind of hoping that Kyle Allen would consider Meechigan, but I guess he's staying close to home by choosing Houston. He will have to sit out a season before taking over. Trevor Knight formerly of Oklahoma fame will be heading to Texas A&M. Austin Appleby wants to leave Purdue to go compete for the job at Florida. All I have to say about that is if Florida is relying on a guy who lost the starting QB job at Purdue to win them an SEC title, then good luck.
Kyler Murray has landed at Oklahoma also. Oregon is trying out Vernon Adams 2.0 by adding the Big Sky's (Montana State's) QB Dakota Prukop. I honestly don't think he will be as good as Adams, but he is decent. Boston College will be trying to fill their massive hole at QB by hoping that Patrick Towles will be good enough for them. Towles looked like he had a promising career at Kentucky, but he really regressed this past season. Alec Morris will be leaving Alabama to start at North Texas for Seth Littrell and Graham Harrell. This will probably be a name to watch out for as I look for UNT to be much improved on offense.
Really, the biggest potential get and the practically the last important QB on the "free agent market" is Taysom Hill. Hill is eligible for a 6th season and has a decision to make. He can stay at BYU or he can transfer. It sounds like if he decides to transfer to open the job up for Tanner Mangum, the best candidates are Virginia, Stanford, and Michigan. I really hope it's Michigan. If he can avoid injury, Hill might be the missing link between us competing for a playoff spot. As we stand right now, we seem to have holes at LB and QB heading into next year. Some people like O'Korn, I kind of don't. I'd much rather have Hill's dual-threat ability.
