He doesn't want a 2 for 1, but I think getting on Florida now is a good idea.

A less than two hour bus ride from Orlando to Gainesville and three games with an SEC opponent....... what’s not to like???

UCF averages 36K fans and Florida 83K. UCF needs to jump on this. If they persist to be the Don Quixote II of football, get the money while you can. These games will be scheduled early in the season and the loser will lose more than the winner gains.

Good analogy.

Yes and Florida is beatable right now. They won't be forever. They should get the mileage and the money while it is there for the taking. plus it is close enough that their fans should not lack for tickets.

Well, well, well........ guess he’s had his 15 minutes of fame.

Danny White says ‘It doesn’t make sense financially or competitively for us (UCF) to play the University of Florida’, while turning down Florida’s offer to schedule a 2 for 1 three game series.

Generally, there is a negotiation as to how much of a percentage from the ticket gate the visiting team will receive for the road trip.

Florida likely knew they had UCF by the berries, and offered them less, using their need to boost their schedule strength for credibility.

Personally, if I were them, I'd make a play for getting a game series with Miami. If the gators are beatable, now; the Miami is nearly a sure lock for a win. And they'd be able to negotiate a larger percentage, since Miami usually has a weaker showing unless it's a big game, you'd be able to have more of your fans show up with a shorter travel distance than most teams in your own conference. It would still be an instate game vs a perceived Big 3. It would be great for recruiting, because what Miami sometimes lacks in attendance revenue, they more than make for in their television contract. Even when they aren't doing great, virtually every Miami game is a network feature, due to the number of national viewership.

Plus, the chance they would get Miami in a one for one series is much higher than with the swamp trolls. Heck, if they played their cards right, they could get a four game series, were the teams go in a two years on, two years off, two years on again series.

UCF rattles the sword, that's all. They do not want to become another Boise. As long as they have perfect records they have an argument and are going to be in the peripheral discussion. They play somebody and get beat they are toast. Then, they will be like the Blue turf gang, living under the illusion they have a chance. We know they don't. So best to just do what they are doing. They will fade quickly enough anyway.

Bowls are becoming passe at lightning speed. BYU beats Western Michigan in the Famous Potato Bowl and the freshman Wilson goes 18 for 18. Not one word on this board or anywhere else including the news reports where on the day after the game there were a couple of taglines. It was a terrible matchup and should have never been played. The Broncos entered the bowl with a 7–5 record (5–3 in conference) and the Cougars entered the bowl with a 6–6 record

18,711 people were in attendance. The payout was $950,000.

This is something I would have likely posted up, during the game. Certainly in a recap.

However, I was unable to watch this one, as I have four family Christmas gatherings this year, and this game kicked of an hour before I left for the dinner. I got to see all of the first 10 minutes of this game.

If it hadn't been Wilson going 18 for 18 anything worth recapping was non-existent. My teams the QB and Receivers can't even play catch and go 18 for 18.

I haven't been able yo watch many games. I saw a little of this one. I haven't seen a whole game in the bowl season yet this year. I have been back and forth to PT three times a week with my daughter who has to have hip surgery because of torn labral tears in both hips. She has missed her whole basketball season and has surgery next month. She wants badly to play her senior soccer and basketball seasons next year. I guess she has a six month recovery from one hip and she is going to try physical therapy to nurse the other hip until next February to get the other hip done. She was hoping to earn a soccer scholarship, but it appears that post high school sports is not going to be possible now. Anyway, that has filled my bowl season so far so I don't get to see a lot of games between PT and specialist visits.
