In honor of our friend I think a member period of silence is appropriate. Please observe it until 12:OO midnight tonight. Thank You

So sad. We know it eventually comes for us all. But when it's unexpected, it's a little harder. After searching for his name and seeing the few pictures that came up, I can confirm that it's him. My heart literally sank in my chest. I never got to see a game with him on that blue field. Maybe a field trip for the future.

I spent a wonderful evening with Donovan in downtown Portland and had a steak dinner, it was a privilege to spend that 2-3 hours with him.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I will watch Boise-BYU next Saturday (even though they kick off at 10:15 ET)....and raise a glass to our friend and cheer for his Bronco's. Although BYU was where Donovan went to school.

The board is a small family...and now smaller....

Donovan was an unusual member in that the board, for him, was more than football.....unlike with others, we PM'd back and forth over the years...discussed his problems and mine and life. He talked me through cancer recovery, years back, and I talked with him through his difficult time.

I am glad that we know...and he didn't just fade away from the board....although we all would have known in our hearts that he was gone...I know, I had that feeling when I started the thread, but was hoping he would come on with an explanation.
