I May Have Inadvertently Invited Others

Postby Cane from the Bend » Fri Jul 03, 2020 12:24 pm

So, here's what happened ...

Mark Rogers, a Huge College Football fan who runs his own YouTube channel, asked near the end of last season if anyone would be interested in a sort of weekly picks challenge.

There was a short correspondence at the time, that hadn't been followed up on, where I mentioned our competitions here.

Yesterday, I sent him an e-mail where I suggested that I could either Copy/Paste our Predictions to one of his videos. Or I could simply e-mail him the Weekly Picks and he could post them in a Predictions video on his channel.

He responded by saying, This:

Thanks for the offer. Very cool. So let me get this straight.

You send me a link every week. I offer it to my viewers. They use the link to make their picks and we can have a competition among viewers, talk results and have fun with it. Is there a limit on how many people can participate?

As you can see, he took it to mean I would send the Link Itself to our competition page through e-mail.

I will ask you guys here; Which would you all prefer?

Should I suggest my sending him the Weekly Predictions List directly?

Or should I reaffirm his thought, and send him the Link to our Picks page, he can post in a Weekly video?

It could potentially bring more traffic to the site.

I think it would be cool to link the site, but I would make sure to ask Derek first.

Does this mean all us Pickers would have Name, Image, and Likeness Rights?????

I like the idea but are we using this site or the new one for the season? I've been checking in on the other one and noticed there had been no chatter so I came back to this one. I guess as long as this one stays up the familiarity of it makes it the more ideal for us. Hope everyone had an enjoyable Independence Day and weekend.

You don't have to ask me...Spence is in charge. I just provide the server. 8) 8)

Sounds like it might be good.

Higfly, we are staying here for the time being. The PHP will still need to be upgraded, but we are good for now.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Spence has a hard time being in charge of Spence.

Believe me, I've already considered that.
