Frank Solich Retires………..
”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

He did a good job in Athens. Especially concidering the recruiting problems that you have to deal with at OU.

Yes sir, Solich found a home in Athens and did well……. and in the meantime Nebraska continues to struggle. I see where Scott Frost is on the Hot Seat and the prognosis is not good.

If Nebraska wants to be good again they are going to have to commit to a coach and stick with him. I don't think a young Tom Osborne could make Nebraska the perennial powerhouse they were in today's invironment. Nebraska needed Texas to be a powerhouse and they got that support as a very good regional Team. Now you have national recruiting. Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, and Clemson get their share of players from Texas and every other rich recruiting base. It makes it hard for more regional teams like Nebraska. I think if they let Frost go at this point, they may never get another coach with big potential. They risk reward for that coach isn't good enough.
