So much for equity.

But, if you're giving these Student Athletes the opportunity to market themselves a commodities, then go ahead and make it an open market, allowing for capitalism to balance its own accord.

Fresno State Women's Basketball players, Hanna and Haley Cavinder, twins whose joint TikTok account has more than 3.3 million followers, have signed marketing agreements to represent Boost Mobile and Six Star Pro Nutrition.

Baylor Men's Basketball player, Jared Butler, is one of many student-athletes who have joined Cameo, which charges money for sending personalized videos (Butler's videos cost $45).

Nick Saban spoke at the Texas High School Coaches Association annual convention, and talked about NIL with earning, Brice Young, Alabama's projected starting quarterback for this upcoming season.

Saban: “Certain positions, probably, enhance opportunities to create value, like quarterback, and our quarterback (Young) already has approached ungodly numbers. I’m not going to say what they are, and he hasn’t even played yet. Hasn’t even started. It’s almost seven figures. And it’s like, the guy hasn’t even played yet. But that’s because of our brand.”

I'm of the opinion that this stuff is BAD news. We have turned college ball into a minor league. These guys won't even attend class before long. Sure, it might start out that everyone goes to class, but before long the big money donors will have a field day when their star athlete is not allowed to play because he didn't attend class.

Some player WILL test this and will win. Because money is more important.

Not that I believe that anyone learns anything at college anymore, except how to be good commies. 8)

Just my 2 cents
