And what's great about this deal for the Big 10 ...
It's a 7 year deal.
This $7 billion multi-network grouping will be up in 2030, where as the SEC/CBS end their partnership in post 2023. Which means the SEC/espn contract worth $3 Billion, begins a year later, and carries over to 2034.
The Big 10 will already have the option to negotiate another, potential even more lucrative deal, before the SEC's contract ends, 4 years later, at $4 Billion less.
Brilliant!

Well……. Certainly appears as if ‘The Mouse’ is going to have another set of ‘Scrotum & Testicles’ to hang on the wall. This one labeled ‘SEC - Thank You Greg Sankey’ right beside the one labeled ‘ACC - Thank You Jim Swofford’.

neither of those contracts are set in stone. Both can be negotiated at any time. They are leading cfb down an unrecoverable rathole IMO
