These Dummies may wanna revise this:
Per the bill, school officials -- including coaches -- can join talks with athletes about prospective NIL deals. Furthermore, in-state high school prospects can become immediately eligible for NIL benefits if they sign with an in-state school. Using the early February football signing day as a starting point, those players could be getting paid for six months before suiting up for their first college practice.

Because even though they are speaking purely from their own State Legislation, should they pass this, it only incentivizes other states to adopt the same model, which won't bode too well for schools outside of Texas, Georgia, Florida and on some yet dwindling level (since the state is slowly dissolving its athletics) California.

Ohio would most certainly pass this to keep Michigan off their lawn.
