Time of Possession, Turnovers………

Postby Mountainman » Sat Sep 23, 2023 9:31 am

………and the Kicking Game are critical for the Mountaineers today. Turnovers would certainly help, but absolutely must put the Red Raiders offense on the sidelines and keep them there.
This bunch will run 80+ plays if you don’t park them on the sidelines, they get lined up and are ready to go in a heartbeat.

We’ll see if the back side of the defense can hold up against this ‘pass happy’ bunch.

Turnovers are dismantling the Bearcats, I can say that ...

Cincy has had a lot of chances today, and they keep floundering them inside the Red Zone.

Oklahoma isn't proving to be great. What they are doing, is letting Cincinnati make their own mistakes, and taking advantage of mistimed throws on defense, and out of position DB's on Offense with a long field. Inside the Red Zone, Oklahoma's O-Line is pushing really well, and creating situations where he defensive backfield has to come up.

Didn't matter, as the Sooners just punched the ball in for another TD.

If Cincy cannot score a TD on this drive, then the game maybe over.

And they Turnover on Downs, on 4th & 2, in the Red Zone.

I cannot think of a more clear cut example of Ball Mismanagement by a QB.

Now Oklahoma tosses a 50 yard bomb on first down. If they put this one in the End Zone, game-set-match.

.

The Wolverines got a huge INT for TD that simply may have broke Rutgers' confidence. Michigan is standing strong, and beginning to pour it on.

.

Time of Possession ...

Clemson is winning that battle right now. FSU is having a difficult time with the Tigers' D-Line.

They aren't bringing that much extra pressure, and they are pressing Travis pretty hard. He's played fairly well under the circumstances, but those big guys getting behing the line are causing him to throw some erratic passes. And the `noles aren't getting very much production on the ground.

hmm ...

Just as I'm typing this, fsu gets a huge sack/fumble/recovery/scoop'n'score to tie the game.

They needed it, because Clemson was threatening to go up by 2 TD's.

Fun game so far.

Gutsy game for FSU...a win is a win....even if OT

Clemson is a pretty good team...The Canes and Clemson should be a good game to watch.

FSU showed some grit there at the end ... and this time it's a Clemson Kicker that missed sending the game into extra time.

Clemson/Miami looks pretty even.

Those guys up front on Clemson's D-Line sure do create issues for the QB. It'll be interesting to see how well the `Canes O-Line holds up.

I'd say the winner of that game will be FSU's remach in the ACC championship. But now, Clemson has 2 conference losses, so, who knows?
