……… what’s next? They probably replace the schools logos on the helmets and uniforms with advertisements and corporate logos and the name patch with Ford, Chevy and Dodge.

Uniforms are not far behind....

I'm long game betting that we get to a point where they are not required to attend classes.

Just another money grab at the expense of ‘College Football’….. it’s an insult to one’s intelligence when the NCAA puts out a statement saying ‘it’s to help compensate the players’.

The NCAA is a failed organization, that continues grasping for salvation in the form of ‘more money’, who’s leadership and membership has knowingly and stupidly engineered it’s own demise.

……… and with this, your Honor, I rest my case.

Sure, if we're talking player by player advertising logos ...

However, I'm pretty sure Nike, Adidas and Under Armour have been sponsoring teams with logos on jerseys and shoes for quite a while, already.

Yep, and they were also paying players, which at the time was against the NCAA Rules, to play for teams they had contracts for shoes and apparel with….. known today as NIL.

This whole thing is not about what the kids did or didn’t do, it’s about the ‘adults’ in the room raking in the money to protect their phony bologna overpaid jobs on the backs of the kids. And now those same people are the one’s doing everything they can do to keep the athletes from becoming employees of the schools. That’s the battle IMHO. 8)

Yes, that's true. But I feel like Nike who provided uniforms or shoes is a little different than straight advertising. They provided those things at cost or low cost, and they got their logos on TV.

I think what we are talking about is going to see things painted on the field or stadiums even changing names to some ridiculous corporate name for the sole reason they gave some money.

Team names, unlikely ...

Conference names could be plausible.

Stadium names, have already happened. Some have even come and gone.

Louisville used to play in what was called Papa John's Cardinal Stadium, now is called L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Well you know……….

………… but for god’s sake keep it off the field and the unies, You know as well, or maybe better than me, that this is nothing other than another money grab. A clever move to sell and cash-in on‘free’ advertising every time the TV cameras are on. You can’t swing a dead cat nowadays without advertising, it’s everywhere. Give the fans and viewers a break from corporate American and the money grab college athletics has become……. we pay for tickets and TV subscriptions to watch and enjoy the games.

I’m getting like the players, I’ve had just about enough of these guys……

There'll be some that eventually get onto the field, I'm sure ...

As for now, panoramic camera shots of the crowd can offer a bit:

I guess they figured they'd skip past the Corporate logos, and just turn the kids into walking Bar Codes ...

Oklahoma State is going to put QR Scan Codes directly onto the players' helmets.

The idea is, when you see them score a TD or make a Big Play where the camera zooms in on the player, you can use your phone to quick scan the code and make an immediate donation to Okie St's NIL Collective fund.

The QR codes on the back of each helmet will be 1.5 square inches.

hmm ... I wonder {in my mischievous devious mind}

What if you're, say, TCU, and you were playing Okoe State ..?

Why not send some of your players in the game with QR stickers for your own collective, that you could slap on OSU player's helmets over the branded QR's, after a tackle. Then when people at home are scanning to donate, they fund your NIL instead ...

Okay, maybe a little too far.

But all's fair in Love & War.

And NIL is an Arms Race.

You gotta hand it to those Oklahoma State Guys…… 8)

It appears to me that somebody has taken the business model of Strip Clubs and adapted it to the Football Field…….. I mean, you pay a cover charge to get in, then you pay for overpriced food and drinks, out comes the performers and do their thing, and then you pay the performers.

Although, I’ve never seen a QR Code on any of the performers at a Strip Club…… and I’m doubtful about any of the football guys are going to come off the field and sit in your lap.

I think that's a different sort of NIL appropriations committee that oversees those type of things. {I wonder if there'll be an OSU only fans}

I will say this ...

It more so gave me the impressions of YouTube Live Stream SuperChat donations.

There are really several alternative instant donation apps you can send to your favorite YouTube personalities in real time. Sent along with a message they usually read out loud.

I've never donated to anyone my self. But I suppose I see the allure.

Maybe you can put earphones in the players' helmets. Donate with a message that says, "Have #45 wave to the camera" and have the booth guys tell him over mic.

Bet that would get a bunch of hits.
