I Wonder What Was…..

Postby Mountainman » Sat Nov 02, 2024 11:58 am

….Spence’s tee time was this morning. Hopefully he’s not in the woods looking for a ball.

……..and I figure Cane’s been up all night mulling over the Canes and Blue Devils.

Enjoy!!!!!!

It’s game time……. 8) 8) 8)

Going up 14-0 you think ...

Okay, finally, we're going to have one of these games.

Falling behind 28-17, you feel; ""What in the living hell are you doing?!?""

Honestly, it didn't look so much like adjustments. At least, not on Duke's Defense.

It looked a bit like the `Canes started playing as if we'd already won the game.

It took the Blue Devils getting the lead, before the Offense started acting like it was a competition.

The Miami D was suspect, often. Duke did a pretty good job adjusting after the first two drives. But, the receivers started catching ridiculous passes. And then their QB began playing with purpose; hitting flat on target.

We get into the 3rd Quarter, and suddenly, SWAP!! Duke got swatted outta the air like a gnat.

By the end, Miami was pulling away, and Duke couldn't stop making mistakes out of panic trying to keep up.

One goof near the end zone saw Cam Ward fumble the ball, inside the Duke 5.

Had that fumble not happened, Miami would have had 60 points on the board.

Welcome Home, Manny ...

Hope you had fun.

Meanwhile ...

Much in the same way Mountainman keeps a special place in his heart for little brother, Marshall {and they won today}

I will admit, I have a guilty pleasure, watching the Hoosiers win.

And the way they're doing it.

Something disruptful is afoot in the Big 10.

BtW ...

Most Receiving Yards by a Hurricanes Receiver & Most Receiving Touchdowns by a Hurricanes Receiver

Xavier Restrepo Broke both Records on one play; 66 yard TD catch, breaks tackle and blazes to the End Zone.

Here he is, as he crosses the Goal Line on that play:

I guess you could say, in this pic, He's Reverse Dotting the I.
