Texas-ASU

Arizona State’s offense has dominated the time of possession in this game and they just can’t move the pile when the rubber meets the road.
This Texas team reminds me of Ohio State 2002-03 except Texas has a QB.

Tie game. Arizona State has broken through to tie the game.

I don’t know what targeting is.

The kicker who doesn’t miss, missed twice. Texas is still the favorite to win this in OT, but Wow, they are done everything they could possibly do to lose this game.

I was really into that game……… I was up and down out of my recliner, hollering at the TV, waving my arms and even had the dog barking. And yes I did second guess and cussed like a sailor the coach for his decision to call an ‘all out blitz’ on the final play., thinking he played to Texas’s strength.

But it was probably a 6 of one or half a dozen of the other call….

Arm chair Coaching is hard work……

It is hard work, especially when they can't hear a word you are saying.

I will say that if that wasn't a targeting at mid field when ASU was driving, I have no clue what targeting is. The guy flung himself head first into the receiver and had direct contact helmet to helmet, to the point the receiver left the game.

All I can say, is, if that wasn't targeting, then they maybe need to just throw out the rule, altogether.

As for arm chair QB'ing ...

Yep, that was me throughout this one.

And yelling at both coaching staves.

Are you kidding me, Sark?! That aren't defending the side to side pass. Why aren't you attacking more.

Dillingham, what are you doing?! Stop going into Shot Gun at the Goal Line to push SKattebo into the end zone. You keep freakin' losing yards. How many times does Goal to Go from the 1 yard line have to wind up a turnover on downs, or backed up to the 7 before you get it. Find another look.

Bah!

I'm not getting paid enough to complain this much.

Or maybe paid just the right amount.

Oregon was the same way in the Rose. They were running the ball or had short passes in the middle of the field the whole second half. I watched the clock go tick tock and couldn't believe they were doing Ohio State's job for them.

I believe the Buckeye Defense had them intimated…… the Bucks were very physical, laying licks, kickin’ butt and Oregon wanted none of it, and punked out.
