Is this it?

has the battle been lost?? I don't think there is any going back from this. Instead of being a mediating force to slow this march down, especially after Nico Immaleavin overplayed his hand, they go all in with this.

I naively thought that after the lesson Nico learned and the public seemed to largely be happy with, that there MIGHT be some reconsidering College becoming the minor leagues.

My thoughts are the next step in this evolution of ‘College Football’ will be the players organizing and creating their own Union to organize, represent and collectively bargain for their pay scales, benefits and rights as players…….. in other words, the players will become employees.

Right now the players are 100% free agents all the time. That isn't sustainable. One way or another, they have to sign contracts and be bound to an agreement.

With the school’s steadfast position that ‘These are student athletes not employees’ that’s where the Players Union comes into play to represent the players in negotiations with the NCAA, representing the schools, on issues like free agency, pay scales, healthcare benefits etc. both during their playing days and beyond.

Given that individual States can enact laws that differ from NCAA rules the Feds must get involved if ‘College Football’ is going to survive as we know it.

Sadly, yes…….. it will. And it will impact the ‘Revenue Generating Sports’ too….. :|

As the Judge, the plaintiffs and prosecution team in ‘The House Case’ have been made aware……… and as far the Judge goes when it comes to College Athletics she doesn’t know her donkey from a hole in the ground, and as for the prosecution they don’t care, they just wanna get paid, as do the the plaintives.

The revenue sports will be ok. They will have to live under their seld made umbrella but that will work.
