I think with Cal and USC in the BCS, the Wildcats will have a spot open in the Holiday Bowl, probably an 8-4 team. The main reason: Sonny Dykes, the son of former Texas Tech head coach Spike Dykes, and a future star in the making. is the new offensive coordinator. Bringing a form of TTU's offense to Tuscon, Willie Tuitama will explode and while he doesn't have the offensive talent that some of the others in the Pac-10 do, they will be more than adequate. Then, on the other side, Stoops is a defensive genious and they have consitently had one of the best defenses in the Pac-10 since he's been there.
They're a huge sleeper coming into this year. I wouldn't be surprised if they find a way into the Holiday Bowl. Stoops' program will begin to turn the corner and I think 2007 is the first step in a big, positive direction.
