You have stated elsewhere your team will play there third string.....now where is the interest? About as much as Boise playing some school from some state that apparently I get wrong.

WVU has learned from last year. You won't see deep balls thrown against the USF secondary. Short passes, screens and the running game.

I think that USF will gamble and play a more aggressive defense hoping to disrupt plays in the backfield even if that may be riskier than disciplined gap protection.

It will take a defense that tackles well and plays disciplined. If you overrun or get out of position, the WV guys can make you pay.

I'd like to see a "Michael Vick" adjustment. Andrews. in the mid 3rd qtr of the 99 championship game, put a "spy" on Vick who went after him on every play.

I only got to see the first quarter and part of the 2nd quarter....when I left there were 6 turnovers. Man what a sloppy game....10 total turnovers (6 by WB and 4 by SF). South Florida is good....bamagirl, you may be right... Auburn may not be that bad...maybe they just got beat by a very good South Florida team. I did not see the second half. Was Pat White benched or injured? I noticed another QB had better stats then White. And the same for Slaton. Was he benched as well? Slaton only had 54 yards....what happened? P. White and Slaton combined for 0 TD's as well....that does not happen often. Kudos to South Florida.

Wow, what an INCREDIBLE freakin' game. That stadium was just insane. I've been to some loud stadiums before (including, of course, Va Tech), but jeeze. They were into it, that's for sure.

Didn't see a whole lot of the game because I was looking through the viewfinder of my camera that's about 1/4" across, but USF definitely dominated. Except for the first-half fumble fest they looked amazing.

USF is legit. No doubt left in my mind.

(And Doss, White was injured. Happened about mid-way through the 2nd quarter if I recall).

Expect a niiiiice post-game report from David Congrove on this one. Photos and all (I took about 700). Next week I'll be at the USF vs Fla Atlantic game.

They would be #2 or #3. South Florida is for real. They have had some offensive problems but they are a very good defensive team. It is hard to break down teams who have some struggles on offense, but play great defense. People aren't as impressed by the way the play, but the cornerstone of championship football is defense and it always has been.
