First quarter belongs to South Florida. Hope this isn't a day of upsets.

I have that on one of the TVs, but have the South Carolina / Georgia game on the Big Screen. Purdue is on the third set.

At 3:30 I will have Iowa vs Iowa St on Big Screen, Michigan vs ND and Ohio St vs Miami on the other sets.

Almost started a thread myself. Glad I went back and checked for crossposting.

Still early... 1st quarter just ended, but I don't know... USF had an impressive drive, while the Gators have now started the season with 5 mediocre quarters.

Could turn it around, but right now I am glad that I don't have Florida -15. I'd really like to see the Bulls hang on and turn this into a W though. Shake up the standard way of doing things.

Florida is looking very frustrated. Lot of stupid penalties this early in the game.

Spence, the way I usually see it is let those guys get this week's nasty upset. If Florida and maybe even Georgia Tech go down unexpectedly, then there can't be that much room for Miami to produce miracles. :P

Meanwhile, Nebraska not exactly tearing it up against Idaho.

Edit: Right now, I'm also glad I don't have the over, as well.

I wonder if Florida's problem is focus. They really seem to be playing without their heads. USF is doing fine, so Florida can't keep playing at this pace.

Oh, man... and here I thought this game was normalling out... Florida makes a drive a ways inside the 30. USF is happy that they held them to 3..... nope. No good.

This team looks terrible. If USF finds their passing game, Florida is in big trouble.

_____

But here come the turnovers. Saved Florida's rear against Miami OH, and helping them here... :(

Heh. Somebody at ESPN tweeted "If only Florida's opponents would stop trying to throw the ball, they would have a chance to win."

If Tennessee makes a respectable showing against Oregon, the rivalry game might be next week's upset special.

Looks like things have settled down a bit.

Daniels is gonna get spent by the middle of the 3rd quarter the way he's playing.

I think we're going ok now, but it's still anyone's game.

We need to address our kicking game, that's for sure.

This wasn't one of your sure bets, was it. Let me know when you come across one of those games that you are 70% sure. :)

Well, if you asked them before the game, USF would have been okay with going into the half tied. If you asked after the 1st quarter, Florida would have been happy with it.

Don't know. Florida could still win and cover if there are more turnovers. I'm still glad I didn't touch this, either way.

I fell into the trap of listening to Derek about the Georgia Bulldogs winning the SEC and took them against So Carolina. So far, South Carolina has really dominated the game.

After their performance vs. USC, I liked Hawaii this week, even though they aren't at home. Right now, looking okay. Line was -3 for Army and Hawaii leading by 14.

South Carolina is looking scary.

Now leading by 7... hang on already...

On the one hand, USF could be underrated and UF is overrated. On the other hand, Vegas knew the general public was potentially overreacting to UF's first game against Miami.

I'm still feeling ok about this game. What matters though is UF winning, period. And if we lose...at least it wasn't a conference game. But then again, anything short of beating USF by 21 will make me nervous about the UT game next week...

Yeah, that's why I don't like playing the high profile teams. Vegas knows we're watching that and corrects for it, then corrects it again when we second guess ourselves. I try to hope they aren't paying as much attention down the line, particularly the non-BCS schools (excluding Boise, who everybody is on to by now). Probably stupid, but the closest thing I have to an advantage at this. :|

I pm'd you about Hawaii vs Army...you have nothing to worry about...which is sad, I root for Army, but it ain't going to happen against Hawaii.

Yeah yeah, blame Derek

College Football News has also really been pushing the Bulldogs this year. In their top 120, CFN has Georgia ranked #3.

Yeah, that's a bit out there. They put a lot of faith in Murray, who could be very good next year, but can't carry the team right yet.

Steele had them at #19 in the preseason, IIRC, which is around where most of us placed the Bulldogs probably. 15-20 or so, and somewhere better than South Carolina...

1st, yes I'm quoting myself.

2nd, Maybe I spoke too soon. Army is now rolling. I didn't take into account Hawaii's defense...or lack thereof.

Yeah, when I wrote my first post, I was okay with Hawaii, but nervous about the over. Now, the over looks like it should be okay, but I'm nervous about Hawaii...

Tied it... that's the over. Right now, I'm looking good on both accounts, but too close for comfort.
