My Weekly Disaproval...

I know, we won, and did so decisively, even if it was just Duke;
However, my agitation still steams, because we aren't playing the way we should be.
This week's gripes:
By now, our offense should be coming together. And yet, they are playing rather bland.
It is late enough in the season that the silly mistakes, and dry miscues should be worked out.
They have not...
We still cannot get our timing down on slant & cut routes, as the receivers continue to drop 80% of those passes.
Harris habitually throws the ball into coverage, when there are other open receivers, and, if the defender doesn't intercept the pass, it almost always gets knocked to the ground on the hit / near interception deflection.
Harris also has a tendency to be either off target when throwing to an open receiver out on the side, or over shoots his man when the receiver has the defender beat deep.
And for some reason, we cannot execute a simply screen play, without committing a holding penalty... even when the hold is on a defensive lineman who has no chance at making the tackle.

Aside from that, the good news is;
Duke has gotten decent play out of their offense this season. Miami's D was able to shut them down, with 5 interceptions, and two fumble recoveries, we played strong.
Though, I would like to draw my irritation toward the play by play guys in the booth.
Most of you would say, mute button. But I like to hear the collisions & know when the whistle is blown.
Okay; why is it the idiotic commentators call bumble fumbles by the qb on the snap, forced turnovers when a defensive player recovers the ball?
That is not a forced turnover; it is a botched offensive play, that results in a turnover.
There is a difference...
Anyway, those are my disgruntled thoughts with regards for today... so far.
