Should Iowa, MSU and OSU end a tie (Purdue won't keep it up) who goes to the BCS game (am assuming Mich will end up losing today)? If memory serves me head to head then most recent is out? As MSU and OSU don't meet what are the scenarios?

If the B-10 is a tie the tie breaker goes to the team that has gone the longest without going to the Rose Bowl.

Going to be interesting. Puts MSU in the drivers seat. I think they are the longest without going.

I don't see that on the Big 10 site.

I thought it was MSU, but I wasn't sure.

Razor, I am sure this is the tie breaker. Not to worry, though, Iowa and MSU play. That fixes that.

I think at one time the team that had gone the LEAST recently went to the Rose Bowl, but I think with the BCS that is no longer the case. I put the link to the Big 10 site and I could not find any reference to the team going last. Head to head, then best conference record, then best overall record, then highest BCS ranking, but nothing about how long it has been since going to the Rose Bowl.

I agree, with Iowa still having Wis, MSU and Ohio St on their schedule, I have no concern about the tie breaker at this time.

The 3 of us could vote but, I'd bet there would be 3 different results!

I don't get how the process includes a tie game? (the second #4) Aren't these done away with...or is a tie finally declared after X overtimes?

Not the way the Rose Bowl works....

So what's the highest number you guys would jump someone in the polls after a big upset like this.

This is opinion.

I would probably never jump someone more than 10 spots.

That might create a TCU vs. Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl, Stanford vs. Florida St. Orange Bowl, and West Virginia vs. Alabama Sugar Bowl

If the Fiesta picks first this year, then maybe:

Fiesta: Stanford vs. Oklahoma
Sugar: TCU vs. Alabama
Orange: West Virginia vs. Florida St.
Rose: Boise St. vs. Iowa

Assuming WVU could win the Big East...I'd much rather play Bama. A second crack at Florida State would be OK, but I think both teams would be about equally improved. (I don't love the match-ups, but I like WVU matching up with Bama. Folks may laugh, but I don't think they could hang more than 9 points on the Eers, too unbalanced....Casteel's version of the 3-3-5 thrives on that! I am not saying WVU is better than Bama in the sense that Bama and WVU play the same schedule and the Eers would have a better record...I don't have a clue, but I like the X's and O's in that game.)

hmm...

It'd be a hard sell to get fla into the BCS picture with 3 straight losses.
