Double Donuts Weekend

2 real good ones on tap for this weekend.

We have Auburn-v-LSU and Oklahoma-v-Missouri.
We have a Donut and a Dunkin' Stick match-up in Oklahoma St. -v- Nebraska.
Then a good Dunkin' Stick match-up with Wisky and Iowa.

How many undefeated teams fall this weekend?
(I think Nebraska will be looking hard to rebound and we will lose at least 3 Donut teams.)

I don't know if we learn much on the better performing 4 BCS conferences this weekend, but more things will come into focus. And I think we find out much about the "other" 10 teams in the ACC and the other 7 in the Big Easy. Cincy can show me if they are the 2nd best team with a shot at #1. Pitt will tell whether they are top 3 or bottom 3. I think the winner of USF and Rutgers will surely be in the top 1/2 (yep, Big Easy). Same with UConn and UofL. With only 8 teams, we should then know the bowl teams. In the ACC, UNC-Miami and Ga Tech-Clemson should tell us who falls in behind the Big 2.

I think Oregon will stumble. My best guess for the national championship game is Oklahoma and Alabama. That isn't who I would pick, just think that is how it will play out.

Unless Iowa can go undefeated or Michigan State is better than I think, I don't see it happening either. Oregon has a shot, but I'm not a believer there.

I think Iowa is a good team - actually I think they are a really good team, but Stanzi is a wildcard. I think he is more liability than asset. He is just too hot and cold.

I thought Stanzi would be much improved this year! I think his confidence grew more than his ability and knowledge. But I have seen that take pretty sharp turns with young guys and they put it together.

Looking ahead might be some favor for UCLA in the first half...but I don't see that carrying the day for the Bruins. I think Oregon will slip too, but I don't think it is this weekend. They had better be ready for USC...that will be as close as the Trojans get to a bowl game!

I don't know Stanzi's deal. I keep waiting for him to turn the corner and he really hasn't.

It is our bowl and chance to be a spoiler

Where is it this year?
