Ark building new football center

Arkansas is building a new football center that will encompass new locker rooms, new meeting rooms, athletic training rooms, equipment room, student lounge and study area, coaches offices, recruiting reception area, and a football museum celebrating Razorback football history.

It will be between Razorback Stadium and the indoor practice field (where the outdoor practice fields currently are...they will be moved south of the indoor practice facility).

I am not sure any school has the overall sports complexes that Ark has across all sports. Arkansas has by far the best track and field facilities in America, their baseball field is one of the top 2 or 3 in the country (some sports magazine a year or so ago rated it #1), Bud Walton Basketball Arena is top 5 in the country (if not better), and the football facilities (with an all ready great stadium) will be that much nicer (one of the most overlooked stadiums in the US in my opinion).

I am excited for what this will do for recruiting. Petrino all ready recruits well...now this may help him land one or two more top recruits each year. Over the weekend Ark added three 4* recruits and have the #9 class nationally according to Scouts.com. Petrino is recruiting from New York, Virginia, Arizona, California, Georgia, Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and more.

I am excited what the new facilities may be able to do!

I read in a Mississippi paper that they were going to use this new stadium for a gathering place in case of tornadoes as it was being built so the chance of a touchdown will be unlikely. Any truth in that?
