Texas is getting thumped by Kansas St in the 3rd quarter.....39-0.

Texas has more total yards but Gilbert has thrown 5 Int's. The last time Texas was shut out in a game was in 1976...the year I was born. Still lots of football in this one though.

I understand Texas will have some down years but with the talent they have they should never be this bad. This falls squarely on the coaches shoulders. They have a top 3 recruiting class every year and hand pick the top talent in Texas.

I bet Yeofoot is in the dumps. Since he's living in NW Ark he could switch his allegiance to the Hogs.

Gilbert looks like 4th string! Just bad.

Could switch to backing A&M. They had a pretty good evening.

Or Texas Tech who... well I'll get back to you in an hour or so...

The Big 12 is taking up company with the Big East, ACC, and Big 10...just a mire of teams, who wins...who knows?

Auburn loses to Georgia, Alabama, and the SEC could actually become that...

While there are about a double handful of games where Texas was held to less than a TD, the last shut out before the Oklahoma shut out goes all the way back to 1976 against Houston.

Ya...I watched the video where he was straight forward about the blame. He said the players and coaches were showing up to practice not ready to take care of business. Of course he excluded himself, saying something along the lines of I tried to tell them that we would lose if we did not prepare but they didn't listen. Who will he blame this week?

Even if it is true you don't say that in a public statement. I didn't even know he did this, that explains much. The rest of the season should be a throw away!

Texas is going to have a tough time qualifying for a bowl game. They finish out with Oklahoma State at home, Florida Atlantic at home, and then Texas A&M at home. But obviously homefield doesn't mean much for the Longhorns in 2010

There are a lot of teams I think that would dream of having that schedule too. 4 losses between UCLA, Iowa State, Baylor, and Kansas State is inexcusable, no matter how poorly Gilbert is playing. I mean, when is the last time Texas had a competent running game? Jamaal Charles was there a few years ago and they never knew how to use him.

They relied to much on Vince Young and Colt McCoy for everything. Gilbert is not Young or McCoy and the Oline and runnig backs are not stepping up to help him out. Makes Gilbert look real bad.

I think Ok State throttles Texas, Florida Atlantic game should be a win but who knows, and A&M looks good since Tannehill took back the QB job. Who would have thought Texas may not be bowl eligible this year.
