Boise/TCU's Resume

Postby Eric » Sat Nov 13, 2010 7:50 pm

Just took a huge shot. As bad as Oregon State's loss to UCLA was, the Beavers are getting ready to snap Washington State's 16 game conference losing streak.

Utah ain't helping TCU! (But I think the Hornfrogs ripped their hearts out.)

How about Utah losing to Notre Dame? That should also open some eyes! Irish eyes. Notre Dame to a bowl! LOL
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

Shows that getting high paid coaches and high profile aren't always the answer.

I've heard ND fans lobbying for the NCG.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Utah was a fraud....the "Ball State Effect" made them highly ranked but they didn't have quality wins....a product of the schedule.

Boise still has a quality win over VT...but that might be it. TCU? The five point win over SDSU didn't earn style points.

Auburn, Boise and TCU are still railing along and so is Oregon (but no style points for that sneak by win)....And, what did they feed those cheese eaters? Wisconsin, with one loss, looks as good as anybody right now.

I have a soft spot for San Diego State. Back in the way back (1977), FSU played at SDSU and they had a large warrior guy with a flaming spear that got the crowd going. Bowden was so impressed with the crowd and the pageantry, that the idea was copied and became the flaming spear of Osceola tradition.

Well, that;

and the media's attempt to hype up the game, and also boost TCU's credibility in order to push the Horned Frogs into the BCS title game ...

Similar to notre dame's ridiculous #9 ranking in 2005, when they played usc ... only to inflate the importance of the game, and to keep usc's SoS high ...

The BCS poll voters bought into it ... it also got nd into a BCS game; only to be humiliated.

Huh. Thanks for the History on that. The Osceola tradition has to be the coolest "go time" ceremony in College Football. If it ain't, then somebody has to help my memory or scope of knowledge...cause I ain't seen it.
