Syracuse is. Just sayin'
Maybe a little out of place to make a thread just for this, but after five seasons in the wilderness, I think it is worth its own thread. Our long city-wide football nightmare is over.
Okay okay, I suppose some avenue for real discussion is necessary, so how about this... Marrone has stated that this game was particularly significant as he intends to reinstate the extensive recruiting efforts in NJ that had fallen by the wayside during the Robinson era. The strong chance of heading to the Pinstripe bowl should give Marrone another boost in those efforts as well. That being the case, then does this mean we may be seeing a return to the old order of things, with not just Syracuse becoming a Big East contender, but also a possible downfall for Rutgers as they now face greater competition for their best talent? There are only so many New Jerseyites to go around, and Pitt will still be raiding out there as well.
