At the Auburn vs Bama game a Bama employee played two unauthorized songs over the pa system...."Take the money and Run" and "Son of a Preacher Man". Really this is true...

Too PC.
Next thing you know, you won't be able to drag a gator carcass out on the field after a win against the gators.

I think that if some people wouldn't try and push the envelope, you wouldn't get the massive over-reactions. Dragging a gator carcass, while not in the best taste, isn't a personal attack on anyone, same with peeing on anyones logo, singling out one college kid for ridicule sets a bad example. This whole attitude that says you can single out people and attack them and it is alright is wrong. If the kid went up to the employee and busted him in the chops - the prefered method of resolving bullying disputes before PC - he would be sued for everything his future kids will make in their life. We have absolutly no sense of decorum anymore. What if, just a thought, this kid is completely innocent of the charges against him? What if he found out what his dad was going to do and said no? He is convicted and made sport of in the name of having a good time. They used to tie "witches" to poles in the middle of town and ridicule them until they were burnt alive - What does Donovan say "first the verdict, then the trial" .
While it may be silly to fire this guy for playing those songs, it was just as silly to do it and think it was an appropriate thing to do. Personal responsibility doesn't just apply to athletes and their families. It applies to everyone.

Of course, Spence, you are right. I have fired several people for not following protocol. Well, maybe more than several. I bet he already has another part time job, however.

And you have to because what you employees do reflect upon you and your business. There is nothing wrong with having a little fun. There used to be a time when people knew where lines were drawn and we are finding out now why all of those lines weren't so silly after all, because once they get past that line they don't stand still, they push themselves forward to the next line.
