Texas Cleans House

No surprise...
Greg Davis, Offensive Coordinator resigned today. The guy's resume is spectacular, but he is the scapegoat on a bad season.
Also, both line coaches retired, and the receivers coach will be at Colorado next year.
I'm rooting for Major as the new O-Coordinator, and an NFL RB coach to take the RB coach's position.
You can bet that BIG money is going to be spent, and there are going to be some VERY high profile coaches interviewing. Hopefully the hoopla and speculation they are going to be spending on Texas hiring decision will distract me from the fact I have to wait 8 full months to watch Texas play football again.

It does suck waiting that long. Was the problem just swinging and missing on recruiting or was it deeper than that?

No one had a sense of urgency on the entire team except Sam Acho.

Kind of expected it. Now, what happens if a losing season hits again? Did everyone suddenly get dumb in 1 year?

The names being thrown around Austing:
Wisconsin offensive line coach Bob Bostad
Boise State offensive coordinator Bryan Harsin
Tulsa offensive coordinator Chad Morris
Former Minnesota head coach Tim Brewster (Son plays DB for Texas)
Most expect Major to at least be the CO-Offensive Coordinator

I hope not Tim Brewster. He isn't a good coach IMO. That is being nice.

If that is all that is required to deserve it, I guess I should throw my hat in the ring.

Applewhite's been declared the "frontrunner," but I think the fans want the Boise guy for a few years, then he can go be a HC, and Major can take over the OC job.

Should Teaxs somehow go 7-5 or worse next year there might be more changes!
