Ohio State tried to put another end ranked team on their schedule, but Miami didn't hold up their end of the bargain. We play again next year, so we will see what happens.

Possibly a more meaningful stat would be the total number of games played versus Top 25 year end.

Another good point to be made, the ones that are counting from the bowl games won't count at the actual end of the year. Case in point, Utah, UConn, and Hawaii.

Hawaii and UConn will drop out and WVU as well.

Who moves in? Maybe UCF and Maryland into the AP...

What about the other conferences? If numbers are down for conferences like the MAC in this category then that may be farther proof that teams are scheduling too many FCS teams.

Then again, not sure how much it matters since poll voted rankings are really an inprecise measure of performance with a large dose of popularity. The fact that a school like Michigan was ever ranked this season and was playing on Jan 1 is proof of the popularity aspect.

Jason....no one here cares about other conferences...just go with the flow.

Jason...I was looking at the "quality" of OOC schedules. MAC teams are fodder, remember?

Now, when the MAC has ranked teams they will be on this list as Nevada, UCF, TCU, and Boise are.

The MAC did win 3 of 28 games played against BCS conference teams this year.

The top of the MAC, Temple, Toledo, and Northern Illinois all had a win.

The point I was attempting to make though was that when it comes to scheduling games OOC that conferences like the MAC don't schedule any more lightweights than most of the BCS conference schools do. In fact, a school like Ohio State scheduled two MAC schools and a CUSA team, all at home. A school like MAC champion Miami (OH) opened at Florida. That is the point I was trying to make... many non-BCS schools have a SOS in the part of the schedule they are responsible for creating (the OOC) that goes toe-to-toe or better than most BCS conference schools.

I agree with you Jason, but if your purpose is to keep non qualifying schools just that...they will find every way to present their case with the same argument. We are the chosen ones.

This chart is skewed because the ACC did not have as many end ranked teams as the SEC.

These are all SEC teams, why does the SEC not have any end ranked ACC teams listed if the ACC played all of these teams?????? Hmm???

OK...subtract all SEC teams from ACC schedules then...and you know what? The ACC still played more end ranked teams in OOC than the SEC.

Why wouldn't you add in the bowl games? They all count toward the final poll.
